Flight Discipline by T Kern ISBN 0070343713 Reader's Review: Sitting in a busy crewroom reading this with its title exposed, will clear the room rapidly - but don't be put off by the title. This is a thought provoking and very well researched analysis by an experienced instructor pilot. He draws on recent incidents and accidents to illustrate his arguments. He does tend to ramble on occasionally and I don't agree with all the conclusions he has come to, however the majority of this book is golddust. He not only dwells on individual human failings but also on poor organisational attitudes. He concludes with a framework for you to fly by - your own personal flight discipline. I'm going to read it again next year - in secret of course! |
